Ruchi Kochhar has been making jewellery from the same Bengaluru studio since 2010. Every piece is designed around the stone first: she chooses it, then draws the piece to fit it, rather than the other way round.

She trained in business management and fashion before she trained in jewellery making itself, and that combination shows in how the studio runs: small runs, direct client relationships, and a refusal to compromise the stone for the sake of a faster turnaround. Since November 2025 the studio has operated as Ruchi Kochhar Creative Ventures LLP.
